Tromso, Norway: Outdoor Movies at Norway's Tromso International Film Festival

Tromso International Film Festival is a popular film festival for our audience, and at the same time an important meeting point for Norwegian and international film industry. TIFF 09 will be TromsГё's 19th international film festival. TromsГё International Film Festival had in 2008 a total admission of 47 522. This makes TIFF Norway' largest film festival. TromsГё International Film Festival screens challenging quality films for a local, national and international audience. TromsГё International Film Festival is set in the dark polar nights, which give's TIFF the unique possibility to screen outdoor movies. The outdoor cinema is located at the main square in the heart of TromsГё. At TIFF 07 the program included a selection of shorts and documentaries from the Films from the North program, along with special screenings and various other events. The official opening ceremony at Fokus Kino was broadcasted live to the outdoor screen by NRK, and live music by the band Adjagas was broadcasted from the city's main square into the cinema.
