Residents of the San Gabriel Valley won't want to miss this great opportunity to see a movie under the stars: Old Town Monrovia has been screening outdoor movies all summer long. The downtown movies will continue this August with "The Neverending Story" on Aug. 29th. Organizers of the event say the outdoor cinema screenings are reminiscent of old drive-in movie theaters. So far, the events have been highly successful, as families have gathered with friends and neighbors to see their favorite movies under the stars. Adults and children alike will love these fun outdoor film screenings.
The film will be shown on an inflatable movie screen on Aug. 29th at 8pm. It is taking place on Colorado Blvd., just east of Myrtle. Admission is free. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to the outdoor movie event.
