Elk River, Minnesota: Greater Minnesota Credit Union Sponsors Outdoor Movie Series

Greater Minnesota Credit Union (GMCU) has donated $2,500 to the city of Elk River for the Movies in the Parks program. GMCU donated a giant inflatable movie screen in 2007 and a commercial quality popcorn popper and supplies in 2008 to provide free popcorn at movie events. In 2009, the $2,500 will pay for the license fees for an entire season of movies. Peter Masterson of GMCU and Debbie Mattson of CU Realty presented the check to Mayor Stephanie Klinzing at the Monday, May 18 council meeting. CU Realty is a co-sponsor of the movies. The free movies will be held at River's Edge Commons Park in downtown Elk River.
