Brisbane, Australia: Inflatable Movie Screen Makes Outdoor Movies Possible at Helga's European Film Festival
An inflatable movie screen set amidst the greenery of Brisbane's Botanic Gardens will give local audiences a taste of fine foreign films under the stars for the next three nights.
The Helga's European Film Festival will screen major films from Italy, Germany and France in one of the first major outdoor movie events of the festive season.
Tonight's film Days and Clouds, from Italian director Silvio Soldini, tells the story of a disintegrating marriage straining under the pressure of unemployment.
Germany and Turkey take their turn in the spotlight on Friday with The Edge of Heaven followed by Saturday's French farcical comedy, Welcome to the Sticks, that makes light of French regional stereotypes.
