Beaverton, Oregon: Locals Vote for Outdoor Movies at Beaverton's 'Flicks by the Fountain'

Cast your vote for the outdoor movies that will be screened at this summer's Flicks by the Fountain powered by Comcast. Flicks by the Fountain, Beaverton's annual family-friendly, outdoor film series will be held each Friday in August at Beaverton City Park, across from the Beaverton City Library.
"Flicks by the Fountain is a great opportunity to bring the entire family out and get to know your neighbors while enjoying a family-friendly movie," said Mayor Denny Doyle.
Voters may choose a movie from each of four categoriesComedy, Classic/Musical, Adventure, and Animated/Familyeither online by clicking here or by calling (503) 526-2559 to vote or request a paper ballot. Flicks by the Fountain votes must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2009.
Final movie selections will be announced in the Your City newsletter this summer. All movies are rated NR (not rated) or PG (parental guidance suggested). Only one vote per person or email address will be accepted. All movies will begin at sunset with fun, interactive pre-show activities presented by the Beaverton Arts Commission starting at 8 p.m.
