Heavy Duty, Reliable and Tough Review by Team Movies at Refugee Camp.

I bought this set in 2010 to use in a refugee camp in my hometown. I live in the tropics, so humidity is always high and temperatures are warm even in the evening. The Outdoor System is set up in the common area of the camp which is a large park, flanked on all sides by compounds and fences. The system takes about 25minutes for us to set up including sound checks. We play DVDs for the refugees to watch and on some nights we get about 500 people sitting down on the grass to view the movies. The American Audio 10inch powered speakers I initially did not have high expectations of having never heard of the brand before. However, I now stand by it as a reliable, surprisingly heavy duty and long lasting machine of better than average sound quality. I have used the system outdoors in the tropics on average once a week for the last 18 months. The blower is holding up, the stitching on the screen is dependable and still in excellent condition. Let me just say the stitching on the material is very, very, very good; I use it outdoors in the tropics where it does get gusty quickly sometimes out of nowhere. The projector has held up fairly well also, although we do have some failures with it that needs re-setting. I suspect that using it constantly outdoors in the humid tropics in a dusty refugee camp has more to do with it than the build quality itself. It has surpassed the electronic life expentancy I gave it when we commissioned it for usage in the refugee camp.

I highly recommend this system for any home use as if it can put up with the abuse it gets at a refugee camp in the tropics, it will be perfectly fine for you surbanites out there.

Pro-tip: roll up the screen for quick packing away and don't catch any african beetlle bugs inside the white of the screen or else it will squish and you won't ever get it off.

It has made thousands of refugees very happy in the last 18 months.

Projector is pretty good value for the money. Screen gets dirty easily from bugs. Also it is not holding its shape as well over time.
DVD player was not good. Stuck in hot, humid weather. Now I use my own PC that has a fan to keep it running well. Speakers are great!

Great addition to public events! Review by Genoa Township

It takes us less than an hour to set this up. It looks impressive! We have had six events using the equipment and it is very reliable. We have had up to 150 attend the events. Residents come up to us after the event and ask us how they can rent the equipment. It was a great investment thanks to our community partnership with WOW!

The outdoor movie screen is extremely easy to set up and take down. The 16' screen can be enjoyed from all angles and from far away. All components of the movie theater system are durable. The outdoor movie theater has really made our summer here on Cape Cod special.

The community here at Ashford thoroughly enjoy the movie nights we have in park once a month! It allows each owner the ability to be able to be with each other or enjoy it alone on their blanket with a camping chair. It was the best money we have spent!

Better than the drive in Review by WOW

I purchased the upgraded version (1080p) and Wow!!! I went to drive in theaters as a kid, does not compare...could not ask for more in picture and sound quality. Looking forward to summer, it is a bit too cold to fully enjoy it now but set it up whenever the night temp is going to be above 50 deg.

This outdoor theater system is the best thing I have ever purchased! The 16 foot screen is HUGE but it is a lot easier to set up than I thought it would be. I may never watch a movie inside again!
